Transitional Housing

Our transitional housing program offers families a place to live for up to 18 months while they pursue higher education to improve their employment options. This program helps clients achieve lifetime goals and objectives and gain hope for a meaningful career or job opportunities.
The Family Shelter
Harbor Interfaith operates the only shelter in the South Bay specifically serving homeless families by offering the dignity and safety of private units with their own kitchens and bathrooms. The 20-unit, two-story apartment complex is located in San Pedro.
Family Resource Center
The Family Resource Center (FRC) serves as our point of entry. Most people seeking services go first to the Family Resource Center so case workers can determine their need and eligibility.
Child Care Services
Our fully licensed childcare center provides care for preschool age children whose families live in our shelter, transitional housing complex, or are enrolled through the Family Resource Center. Parents must attend school, work, or actively seek employment to qualify.
