Children & Families First

The goal of Children & Families First is to help prepare children for kindergarten by strengthening their families.  Families with children under age five receive assistance to pursue their education and secure employment.

Families work with an assigned case manager to identify goals at enrollment and discuss steps needed to accomplish their goals. The programhelps cover the cost of tuition, textbooks, school supplies, transportation, clothing, and childcare. We also help parents secure jobs to better support their families.

Families receive on-site counseling and therapy to ensure family stability. They also have access to other agency services, including groceries, follow-up home visits and health assessments.

This program is funded by First Five – LA, the community-developed initiative to ensure that children are “school ready” by the age of five.
