The South Bay Auxiliary for Harbor Interfaith Services

SAVE THE DATE - Friday, September 24, 2010- The Auxiliary will host its third annual Fall Gala at the Terranea.

The South Bay Auxiliary for Harbor Interfaith Services formed in August 2007 with the sole purpose of producing an annual fundraising event, with proceeds supporting the agency’s mission and goals.

In Spring 2008, the auxiliary kicked off its activities with a wine-tasting event at the home of Chris and Peta Noble.

On Oct. 10, the group hosted its major fundraiser, the First CLASS Fall Gala at the Palos Verdes Country Club. The dinner honored St. Peter’s by the Sea Presbyterian Church, the Scriba Family, San Pedro Honorary Mayor Joe Donato and the Palos Verdes Junior Women’s Club.

The gala featured a silent and live auction, dinner and dancing to Decades, which played music from throughout the eras.

Last year's "Building on A Dream" gala was held at the Terranea Resort and honored Neighborhood Church, Latham & Watkins and Las Candalistas. Supervisor Don Knabe also announced the donation of a $4.97 million grant to help fund Harbor Interfaith Services Capital Campaign!

This year's goal is to raise funds to continue to support our many services including childcare, shelter and various advocacy programs.

The auxiliary’s executive board includes President Julie Haynes, Vice President Sheila O'Neill-O'Connor, Treasurer Kitsa Treantafelles, Recording Secretary B.J. Golik, and Event Chairs Su Hwang, Julie Lins, Lynn Elliott, Julie Wolfenden and Kitsa Treantafelles.
