The South Bay Auxiliary for Harbor Interfaith Services

The South Bay Auxiliary for Harbor Interfaith Services formed in August 2007 with the sole purpose of producing an annual fundraising event, with proceeds supporting the agency’s mission and goals.

This spring, the auxiliary kicked off its activities with a wine-tasting event at the home of Chris and Peta Noble.

On Oct. 10, the group will hosted its major fundraiser, the First CLASS Fall Gala at the Palos Verdes Country Club. The dinner honored St. Peter’s by the Sea Presbyterian Church, Ralph and Loraine Scriba, San Pedro Honorary Mayor Joe Donato and the Palos Verdes Junior Women’s Club.

The gala featured a silent and live auction, dinner and dancing to Decades, which played music from throughout the eras.

Proceeds will support Harbor Interfaith’s plans to expand and improve its Childhood Learning and Support Services, or CLASS for short.

The auxiliary’s executive board includes Chairwoman Julie Haynes, Rosella Braden, Susan Herron, Susan Maehl, Maureen Spargo, Karen Strand, Toni Tramontin, Karen Tucker, Yolanda Valle-Sedillo, Betty Lukas and Julie Wolfenden.
