Shari Weaver – Director

Ms. Shari Weaver has been with Harbor Interfaith Services since May 2001.  Ms. Weaver is the Family Resource Center Director and has previously served as the agency’s Executive Assistant, Director of Continuum of Care, and Director of Housing Services.  Ms. Weaver has worked in social services since 1998 and was a former L.A. County Deputy Sheriff.  Ms. Weaver is a current member of the South Bay Coalition for the Homeless and is dedicated to helping the homeless and working poor in the South Bay.

Martha Flecha-Raza – Outreach

Ms. Martha Flecha-Raza joined HIS team in 2008. Ms. Flecha-Raza strives to help homeless families and individuals to identify housing, provide advocacy with property owners, move-in assistance, and referrals to community services.  Prior to joining Harbor Interfaith Services, Ms. Flecha-Raza worked as an Elementary School Teacher and as a Communication Facilitator for adults with developmental delays. Ms. Flecha-Raza holds a Bachelor of Science from CSUDH, and is working on completing a Masters Degree in Education.

Rebeca Rodriguez – Case Advocate

Ms. Rebeca Rodriguez role is to assist low income households with emergency food, hygiene items, and secure housing. Prior to working with Harbor Interfaith, Ms. Rodriguez was in the AmeriCorps Vista program (Volunteer in Service to America) and worked as a Community Engagement Specialist. She had also worked with Long Beach City College Foster Care Program, where she assisted children in the Department of Child & Family Services system prepare to become an emancipated youth.

Elizabeth Mora – Food Stamp Coord

Ms. Elizabeth Mora assists with applying for CalFresh benefits (previously known as Food Stamps), completion of quarterly reports, yearly certification, and referrals to community services.  Prior to joining Harbor Interfaith Services, Ms. Mora worked as a Job Developer at Saint Margaret Mary Church. Ms Mora also worked as Tutor for the Boys and Girls club of Harbor City. Ms. Mora is currently a volunteer at Saint Margaret Mary Church teaching Religious Education and is working on completing her Bachelor Degree of Human Services from University of Phoenix.

Manuel Castillo - Driver

Mr. Manuel Castillo has been with Harbor Interfaith Services since 2001. Mr. Castillo is a driver and “man of all trades” for the Family Resource Center. His responsibilities include, but are not limited to, driving clients to important appointments and shelter sites, picking up our shelter children from school and delivering them to the after school program, donation  pick-up and delivery, providing transportation to staff and clients during special events and field trips, community outreach, and case management.
