Bernadette Chase - Director of Educational Services

Ms. Bernadette Chase serves as Director of Educational Services at Harbor Interfaith.  She is responsible for daily operation of the agency Children's Services. Ms. Chase has worked with infants to school age children for over 12 years for various non-profit agencies and school districts in Northern California.  For the past 6 years she has served as program director in various educational programs such as the YMCA and First 5 LA. Ms. Chase has attained her Master and Bachelor degrees in Early Childhood Education from Chapman University.  She is fluent in Assyrian, Persian and English. 

Ana Rodriguez - Teacher

Ms. Ana Rodriguez works as a toddler teacher for the Caulder Center. Ms. Rodriguez is pursuing a degree in Child Development. She has worked with young children from infant to preschool for almost 8 years. Ms. Rodriguez enjoys the children’s sense of wonder and strong curiosity.





Guadalupe "Lupe" Delatorre - Teacher

Ms. Lupe Delatorre works as one of our infant teacher. She has 29 units in Early Childhood Education and over 23 years of experience working as a teacher. She loves working with children and is happy to be a part of the Harbor Interfaith family.






Estela Galindo-Walker - Teacher

Ms. Estela Walker joined the Caulder Center team in 2012.  She is currently attending Los Angeles Southwest College and pursuing a degree in Child Development with a Teacher's Permit. For the past 19 years, she has shared her passion for teaching children.  She began her career at a Head Start Program where she worked with infant/toddler and preschool age children.  Ms. Walker cherishes her work and provides wonderful and unforgettable experiences for the children here at Harbor Interfaith.

Ana Jones - Teacher

Ms. Ana Jones joined HIS in April 2014 as teacher for the agency children’s center.  Ms. Jones  began to care for children in her home and later went through an internship program  through Harbor College.  Ms. Jones has attained her Associates Degree in Child Development from Los Angeles Harbor College and her Master Teacher Permit.  Ms. Jones is inspired to help children develop the skills needed to continue her education and lead a fulfilled life.


Dona Verduzco - Teacher

Ms. Dona Verduzco has been a preschool teacher for many years. She has an Associate Art degree in Child Development as well as her teacher’s permit. Ms. Verduzco is excited to help the children achieve their goals in the future, and makes it fun while the children are learning.

Isaac Quesada Rocha joined HIS in 2014 as an aide for the After School Program. He has worked with school age children for more than 10 years for different non-profit organizations throughout the South Bay. Mr. Rocha enjoys working with children and is inspired by them to always have the will to do good. Mr. Rocha is currently pursuing a degree in Psychology/Child Development.

Manuela "Nelly" Saenz - Cook

Ms. Manuela "Nelly" Saenz works as our children's center cook. She has always loved to cook. Ms.Saenz enjoys preparing tasty, healthy meals and interacting with the children. Ms. Saenz actively manages the Child Nutrition Program which ensures the children at our center are well-nourished with healthy foods and are ready to engage in their teacher’s curriculum activities. Ms. Saenz creates a 6-week-cycle of menus including breakfast, lunch, and snacks. The children lovingly call her Ms. Nelly and always give her thanks for her delicious food.
