The holidays are a special time at Harbor Interfaith Services. Our very generous donors make a heroic effort to ensure that our homeless and working poor families share in the joy of the season.  This generosity is especially touching considering that 300 of the 450 people who live with us each year are children. Without our donors, they simply would go without.


On Saturday, December 17, HIS hosted a holiday block party from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. More than 400 people --including Mr. and Mrs. Claus. Our donors shared a family-style meal with their "adopted" families. There was music, arts and crafts and games for the entire neighborhood to enjoy.

Gift Basket Giveaway

On Dec. 22, HIS and its donors provided holiday meals and gifts to 330 families. Special thanks to Bob Wolfenden for hosting the event at The Auto Palace;  Wendy Trujillo for donating hotdogs from Der Weinerschnitzel;  and Ruby Corp. McDonald’s for the sugar cookies and punch. Thank you to everyone who donated gifts and food!
